
Oversee, support, modify and update government contracts currently in place and create new contracts as opportunities become available. Support development of additional business opportunities in conjunction with business development. Conduct preparation, negotiation, acceptance, and management of contracts. Review and approve all contractual documents for protection of company's contractual posture, satisfaction of government/customer specifications and requirements, and adherence to company policy. Advises management of contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions.
Applicants should be able to work independently to perform all contract administration functions for various DoD and GSA Government contracts including delivery orders and task orders issued under contracts, GSA schedules, and purchase agreements. Applicant will be responsible for monitoring contracts for compliance and maintaining various types of contract files in accordance with company standards. Applicant will draft correspondence to various clients including Contracting Officers and authorized ordering officers, and review and process contract and delivery order modifications. Assist Staff in resolving contractual problems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage and support current Federal contracts
• Ensure contract compliance and efficient contract administration
• Create and manage government and other non-government contracts to include revenue tracking
• Prepare all contract correspondence
• Develop, implement and maintain accurate contract records
• Monthly invoicing of all contracts
• Administer NDA and teaming agreements
• Work closely with staff to insure proper government reporting and pricing / business practice compliance
• Establish and maintain excellent customer relations, both internally and externally
• Interfaces with customer on a variety of issues
• Participate on proposal development teams
• Support development of key market strategies and sales
• Monitor business opportunities (leads) from government agencies/customers and convey these to program management and field personnel for follow up
• Contribute actively to evolving business and product/market strategies, including applying contract knowledge to opportunities
• Work with staff at every level of the organization
• Partner with corporate personnel for contract administration functions
• Assist in any other contract administration duties as may be required
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelors degree and/or a CPCM are preferred
• A minimum of 3 years experience in government contracting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Demonstrated knowledge of the FAR
• Experience with multiple contract types, performance-based contracting, and GSA
• Must be highly organized, detail oriented and have superior time management skills
• Demonstrated strong negotiation skills
• Team player attitude with the ability to work independently
• Ability to function effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and to operate in a highly unstructured setting
• Strong communication skills and customer service skills, both verbal and written
• Positive can-do attitude with a commitment to professionalism
• Some travel may be required
